With a standard 2.0-liter Direct-Injection Subaru Boxer Engine, the 2022 Crosstrek is highly-efficient with an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 28 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. Opting for the available 2.5-liter Boxer engine barely decreases those numbers, getting 27 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. The Boxer engine keeps efficiency at the forefront with its incredibly balanced transfer of power, thanks to its low center of gravity stemming from a horizontal configuration. But this engine is not just efficient for the vehicle; it is also efficient for you!

The 2.5-liter Boxer engine provides the Crosstrek with 182 horsepower and 176 pounds-feet of torque.
