Subaru BRZ Dealership

When you think of a sports car, you might think of some classics like Ferrari or Lamborghini. And most of us associate a sports car with a luxury price tag, leaving those on a budget forced to choose between a fun car or an affordable one, but rarely both. So when Subaru put out their BRZ, a zippy little coupe that could keep up with some of the top names on a race track, everybody was surprised. But that's just one reason we at Williams Subaru love our namesake car manufacturer: they never stop innovating and pushing boundaries. So we're proud to be your Subaru BRZ dealership.

Serving the Carolinas for over 80 years, we've been fortunate to stay in business this long because our customers know they can count on us for fair prices, a welcoming environment, and an atmosphere of respect. We love showing drivers what's new in the Subaru lineup, and for those on the hunt for a thrilling vehicle at an equally thrilling price point, you have to check out the Subaru BRZ. Come in and let us take you for one of the most fun test drives you've enjoyed all year.

What Is the Subaru BRZ?

You might be most familiar with Subaru's more family-friendly, passenger-centric vehicles like the iconic Subaru Outback, which is a favorite among outdoor enthusiasts, or the Subaru Forester, which is road-trip-ready. Subaru broke out of its usual mold with the BRZ, delivering a two-door, four-seater coupe at a budget-friendly price so that everyone can experience the thrill of being behind the wheel of a sports car.

The BRZ is relatively new to the Subaru lineup. It first came out in 2012 and was developed in collaboration with Toyota, which is why it's sometimes called the "Toyobaru." The two brands came together hoping to create a sports car at an affordable price point, and the cult-like fans of this car would say that they did a great job. It has the classic sports car configuration with a rear-wheel drive and a front engine. But it does have one thing that makes it fit right into the Subaru lineup: a spacious trunk. Fold down the back seats, and you'll have room for up to four tires, keeping up with Subaru's tradition of having generous cargo areas.

Car and Driver named the Subaru BRZ one of the most improved cars in their 10 Best List in 2021, thanks to its updated 2.4-liter engine and 228 horsepower. Even though Subaru keeps making new upgrades to the car, it stays true to its classic look and feel with old-school handling and a vintage appearance. We can't wait to see what the future holds for this car.

2022 Subaru BRZ Highlights

Many drivers are raving about the new naturally aspirated flat-four-cylinder engine on the 2022 BRZ, which kicks out 228 hp for excellent acceleration. It's a great car for anyone who has a need for speed; plus, it has a light-as-a-feather curb weight of just 2,800 lbs, making it especially aerodynamic and ready for a race. This year's offering of the BRZ additionally boasts a lower center of gravity than previous years, creating a better hug-the-road feel and improved control.

There are just two trims of this car, the Premium and the Limited, and two are all you need. Both are great options, but if you do spring for the Limited, you'll enjoy gorgeous 18-inch alloy wheels. You'll also get summer tires, which are sometimes called performance tires because they improve handling on wet and dry roads. Essentially, they're good for warm weather, which is how they got their name.

Moving inside the car's cabin, you'll find a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, making it easy to review important data about the car like fuel levels, oil pressure, and, of course, the speedometer reading. You'll also find a sizable infotainment screen, which you can sync up to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to use your favorite smartphone apps in the car.

Any car that's going to travel at high speeds needs impressive driver-assist features for when your reaction time isn't as quick as the tires beneath you. That's why the 2022 Subaru BRZ has some important safety features, from emergency braking to lane-keep assist.
